Terms of service

What you are buying

A one-off written review of a single website, delivered by email as an HTML document you can open in any browser or print. It covers the home page of the address you give us, checked against a fixed set of automated tests, with each finding explained in plain language along with how to fix it.

What it is not

• It is not a guarantee of higher rankings, more traffic, or more customers. Nobody can honestly promise that.
• It is not a security audit or a penetration test.
• It is not legal or accessibility-compliance certification. It flags common accessibility problems; it does not certify conformance with any standard.
• It does not include making the changes. If you want that done, ask and we will quote separately.

Delivery

Within one working day of payment, to the email address on your order. If the site cannot be reached — it is offline, or it blocks automated visitors — we will contact you rather than send a report based on a page we could not read. You can give us a different address, or take a full refund.

What we need from you

A web address you are entitled to have reviewed. Reviewing a site only involves visiting its public pages as any visitor would, but do not order a review of a site you have no connection to.

Limits

The review is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid. Nothing here removes rights you have by law.

Refunds

Once your report has been delivered, the sale is final. It is written work produced specifically for your website, and once you have read it you have it. There is no trial period and no satisfaction-based refund.

When we do refund you, in full

• We cannot produce the report. If your site is unreachable, or refuses automated visitors, and you would rather not give us a different address — you get your money back.
• We do not deliver. If your report does not arrive within two working days, ask and we refund you.
• You were charged twice for the same site.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten working days depending on your bank.

Before you buy

The sales page shows an example of exactly what arrives, and lists every check we run. Read those first — they are there so nobody buys expecting something different.

Privacy

What we collect

• Your email address, so we can send the report and your receipt.
• The website address you asked us to review, and the findings from reviewing it.
• Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

What we do with it

Deliver your report, answer you if you reply, and keep a record that the order was completed so you are not charged or served twice. That is all.

What we never do

• Sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing.
• Add you to a mailing list because you bought something.
• Publish your report or name you as a customer without asking you first.

Cold email

We sometimes email businesses who have not contacted us, with a free review of their public website. Every one of those emails identifies who sent it, carries a postal address, and offers a way to stop. If you ask us to stop, you are recorded permanently and will not be contacted again — the record is never cleared.

Keeping and deleting

We keep order records while they are needed for accounts and tax. Ask us to delete what we hold and we will, except records we are legally required to keep. One exception, and it works in your favour: if you have asked not to be contacted, we keep that request forever, because deleting it is how people get emailed again by mistake.

Who else is involved

• Stripe processes payments and holds the payment record.
• Google carries our email, as the provider of the address below.
